Laconia Motorcycle WeekJune 9-17, 2012 in Laconia, New HampshireThis year marks the 89th Anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week and you can expect all of your favorite events as well as some new ones thrown into the mix! Don’t miss all the action, motorcycle racing and events. Here’s some of what you can expect at this year’s Laconia Motorcycle Rally – so make sure you mark your calendar: Kickoff your week by participating in the 6th Annual Peter Makris Memorial Ride and any other great charity ride that occurs on Saturday. The Ride to the Sky up Mount Washington will once again be open for “Bikes Only” on Monday and Thursday of Motorcycle Week. Plan a day at the Hillclimb / Motorcycle Drag Races at Gunstock Mountain Resort on Wednesday. You also want to make sure to set aside time for all of the bike shows, swap meets, bike blessings and all the street action on Lakeside Avenue. The second weekend will light up with a new short track race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway at 6pm and the 89th Annual Loudon Classic race will be on Saturday at NHMS. There will be a Toy Run Parade for the Classic, leaving from Interlakes High School in Meredith at 10am. This parade will lead you to the track for the race and if you bring a toy – you’ll get a discount on the race! There is so much to do at Laconia bike week that we could never list it all here so make sure to check out the schedule of events on our website to plan your days and nights. Directions To Weirs Beach from the South: In NH, take Exit 20 from Route 93. Take a left off the exit onto Routes 3 & 11. Follow this road for approximately 10 miles. After you drive past the Belknap Mall, take a right just before the lights onto the Laconia Bypass/Route 11. Follow until the loop at the end and take a right. Follow this road straight through the lights. Bear right at the next set of lights. This is Weirs Boulevard. Stay left at the fork. Follow this road along the lake to Weirs Beach. From Bristol or New Hampton by Route 93 exit 23 to Meredith or Weirs Beach. East on Route 104 to a “T” junction with Route 3. Left/north to Meredith center, Laconia Harley-Davidson, Hobo Railroad and parking; all within a half mile. Right/south on Route 3 to Weirs Beach and Laconia; about three miles.
