AMA Arenacross Series

AMATEUR NATIONAL ARENACROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS:

At this year's Amateur National Arenacross Championships, each of the respective class champions will be recognized as an official AMA National Champion and awarded the ceremonial AMA National Champion Number One Plate. To recognize the 2012 AMA Amateur National Arenacross Champions, the AMA will host these distinguished racers from each class at its annual, year-end award ceremony. The beginner class will be eligible to race at the Amateur National Arenacross Championships but will not receive an AMA National Championship Title

The 2012 season will qualify 540 of the best amateur riders in the nation to participate in the 12th annual Amateur National Arenacross Championships.  The top 4 riders from 27 different classes and five different regions will make their way to Las Vegas, NV on Saturday May 5 at Sam Boyd Stadium and May 6, 2012 at South Point Hotel & Casino to race in the Amateur National Arenacross Championships the weekend of the Monster Energy® Supercross Finals featuring Ryan Dungey, Chad Reed and James Stewart.

Also the 2012 Amateur National Arenacross Championship offers an opportunity for the top ten finishing riders in the Expert Class to receive an AMA Supercross Lites endorsement. The AMA Supercross Lites class endorsement grants these riders the opportunity to compete in the 2013 Monster Energy® Supercross Lites Championship.

*These events will be used as dual region rounds and will count as equal points in each of their regions.  

IT'S EASY TO GET INVOLVED IN THE ARENACROSS SERIES.
Whether you're a beginner just getting started or a seasoned professional, one of the 29 classes at Arenacross is meant for you. The beginner class is offered for first time racers or anyone with less than six months motocross experience. An AMA membership, a bike and proper safety equipment are the only requirements to get you started.  

The Arenacross Series boasts millions in purse, contingency and awards offered for all competitors in any skill level. For additional information on contingency and awards please visit arenacross.com.  

Each AMA Arenacross event will feature two competition classes, Arenacross and Arenacross Lites that will compete for purse awards on both Friday and Saturday night.  

Sunday will consist of Amateur National Arenacross Championship qualifiers featuring of youth and amateur riders competing for awards, contingency and an opportunity to compete for an AMA National Arenacross Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada at South Point Hotel and Casino May  6th, 2012.

On *Friday (if applicable) and Saturday while the pros are practicing registration strongly recommended due to the large number of entries. Amateur Rider registration will be open at Promoter Will Call or Registration on *Friday (if applicable) and Saturday until 7pm.
*If there is not an event on Friday registration will be closed.

The PROSport class is 100% payback based on number of entries. NEW THIS YEAR: The Pro Sport Class will be eligible to race at the AMA AMATEUR NATIONAL ARENACROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS and will also eligible to receive an AMA National Championship Title

 

"A" - Expert o "B" - Intermediate o "C" - Novice
**This class competes on Friday and Saturday only.

A motorcycle may be entered by the same rider in multiple classes.

~Class details have changed for 2012. The Supermini and Schoolboy Classes are now separated into 4 different age groups.  

BEGINNER CLASS: Riders with 6 months or less motocross experience. Beginner class can not jump the "Large Catapult". Riders attempting to ride the beginner class who have raced more than 6 months will be automatically advanced to the next skill level.  

The beginner class will be eligible to race at the Amateur National Arenacross Championships but will not receive an AMA National Championship title.
