FIM 2012 WSB Round 4May 4-6, 2012 in Monza, ItalyCircuit Monza, originally named Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, is located near the town of Monza in Italy. It has a length of 5,793 km with 10 turns and it is known as the venue for the Italian World Superbike round. Circuit Monza has long straights and tight chicanes which really test out the braking skills of the drivers. Due to the heavy braking, overtaking is very difficult. The circuit is rough on gearboxes as many gear changes are needed per lap. High speeds can be reached on this circuit due to the long straights and as it has only 3 proper corners, Monza gives the opportunity to run on full throttle. That is why circuit Monza is known for being the scene where remarkable speed records are being set; sometimes up to 372 km/h. Engine failure is very common on circuit Monza. Circuit Monza is located near the town of Monza, Italy. There are 2 airports near the circuit; Malpensa International Airport and Linate International Airport. Both are located in Milan. Malpensa is Milan’s biggest airport, but both do not serve many destinations. Italy’s major airport is Fiumicino International Airport in Rome. From there you can take a domestic flight to either one of the airports in Milan. These are connected by shuttle busses. From Malpensa Airport you can take the bus at Terminal 1 to Milan Central Station. From there you take the train to Monza. From the Monza station (Stazione di Monza) there are several shuttle services that can take you to circuit Monza. At both Terminals of Malpensa Airport you can find taxi stands where you can get a taxi to circuit Monza. Another possibility is to rent a car at on of the car rental companies at Terminal 1. You can also rent a car online by clicking here. If you travel by car from Milan, depart west onto Corso 22 Marzo and proceed onto Viale Corsica towards A51. Follow A51 and merge onto A52. From A52 merge onto SP58 and follow the signs to Monza and circuit Monza. Accommodation For your stay near circuit Monza, you can book a hotel in Milan. There are many nice hotels to find there. During the World Superbike of Italy only the Ascari grandstand will have numbered seats. During the World Superbike of Italy none of the grandstands will be covered.
